Slow Cooker Beef Brisket
Ingredients:
4-5 lb beef brisket
5 cloves of minced garlic
3 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
2 thinly sliced onions
3 tbsp flour
1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
There are various ways to cook a beef brisket, but a slow cooker is by
far the best way to get great results! Put the onions in the slow
cooker
first, then place the brisket on top. You'll want the fat side to be
facing up. Mix the vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, and spices together
and pour over meat. Add enough water so that the bottom of the
slow cooker is covered. Then, cook on low for around 10 hours. To make
gravy, take the brisket out of the slow cooker when done cooking. Add
flour to the remaining broth, add flour, and cook on high while
stirring frequently. When gravy is to desired consistency, remove from
heat.
